Here is a song I wrote for my daughter to sing. I play all of the instruments but the drums. People seem to like it...although a Nashville type told me that the modulation in the final chorus was old hat.. What do you think?

That's not how it feels by Tom Paul 2 on SoundCloud - Hear the world

I work really hard at lyrics.. I've always heard that they were the most important part of the song and that producers can always "fix" the music. By the way...Julianna was 10 when she sang this...she turned 11 since.

Sounds really good. Good balance of instruments. Very nice mix.

Your daughter has a very good voice. An incredible voice for a 10 year old.

There is nothing I dislike about the song or performances. Very good work :thumbs up:

Thanks, Mr Clean. Julianna sang on a demo last year I did for my brother who wrote a nice song for a female. The song got signed to a publishing deal! I've been sending out my own demos for 25 years with very little success! I am going to keep trying to write songs for her to sing. Tom

Bring her vocal up in the mix....and I know she's only 10, but try to add a pinch of "body" to her voice if you can with EQ.

This song was easy to connect with. Bring up the lead vocals and the bass. Her voice will be quite powerful when she hits her late teens. Find her a good vocal coach if she stays interested.

I brought up the vocal and added some 1KZ...and brought up the kick and bass a little. I like it. Great advice. Thanks.

Great song and delightful voice. The only little pick I have is ARTICULATION. Nothing drives me crazier that not being able to understand the lyrics of a song. In this song most of the time I could, but there were parts where to me the words were slurred or mumbled a little. If you do get her a good vocal coach, that will all be straitened out, then there will be no stopping this talented young woman. :thumbs up:
