Sounds good!

My main nit would be that the word Annie and Free in the chorus some times really drop out. There are a few other spots to. I would try to fix the low spots manually first, although I do thing the vox could bennifit from some compression, might bring up a little more depth in the lead vox.

Sounds pretty good to me. As mentioned before, some compression on the vox, not too much, could maybe help it out. It usually sounds a bit thicker too with a tad of compression, just adds a bigness to it. The snare is a bit loud I guess, not by much. Overall it sounds good. I used to record drums through a mixer and hope it would come out good. It's definately cool when you get the equipment to have the tracks seperated to work on later.

Very laid back sounding. There's a lot I like about it but I'm just going to listen and enjoy. Rock on man.
 
A fine job on this classic!Your mix seems to have the piano a tad more upfront then the original to my ears...not a bad thing , just different. Vocals are very well done with the backing harmonies done nicely....love your tone on the electric guitar fills during the verses...would like to hear a bit more of 'em!

Thanks for all the comments, folks. I tried to incorporate some of the suggestions in a new mix that we did a couple of weeks ago and will try to upload it soon in order to get your feedback.
 
My monitors are not that great but I think you did a pretty good job here.
First time I heard this song was at the drive in watching easy rider when it first came out 37 years ago. There was nothing pretty about the original of this song just like the rest of the music of this movie or album.
Again good job.

It was a Strat through a Peavey Classic 30, with the toggle switch set to the neck pickup. Other than that, it was just one SM57 > DMP3 > M-Audio 2496.
