Hi people,
finally got this fucking recording finished!
All from my fucking little bedroom/lounge-room.
This song, and another 8 from my 'obscure' Kiss stuff is going out to get mastered very soon...(just looking for some inexpensive but good fucking people to help me with this. But prior to that, I'd like to know what you think(?)...anyways.....

Mark...for some reason I can't get in to listen. The site may be having problems again today.

Hey spit.

Finally got The Oath to play.

Overall: The mix has decent energy...good soundfield, excellent fx packages all around. Good performances....but a surprisingly lifeless drum mix. I hear the kick, sorta, but there is no impact....and the bass guitar lurks at the bottom of the mix without really contributing.

I'd start by massaging that kick and give it a little meat. Then work the bass back into the equation. The bass sounds pretty good in that little interlude at 2:52. I'd look at maybe opening the toms up alittle bit with some verb in that section as well.

Vocals and guitar tracking done very, very well. Solid job there.

This one's really pretty close. I'd just try to shore the bottom end up a bit and you're there.

wow...thanx TB, appreciate your writing!
Yes....the mp3 conversion process seems to have smashed all my reverb tails, and destroyed all the bottom end in this mix.
Sounds powerful at home and in the car!!
Thanx again!!:)

(ps..are you in Oz?)

Wow. The performances are pretty much spot on. You even sort of sound like Paul. The guitars are super thick - maybe a little too thick. The bass and kick don't have much definition and there is some low end muddiness. Tighten up the bottom end and this thing will explode. The whole thing seems a little wet with reverb, but that's just me. Overall a pretty damn great cover of a KISS song that damn near nobody knows. :)

Hey Greg....I'm wrapped that a fellow fan liked it!..I figured that if a true 'Paul' fan likes our stuff, then we've achieved something!
man, for the advice....thankyou so much.

Cool stuff Spit...you got some nice sounds happening. As Greg mentioned a bit thick in the low end on the first one, and that hides the drums some. I think the second one sounds better. A cleaner mix. Nice job on the vocals on both...I like em. Musicianship seems pretty good also....fun listens man.

Hey man!...thankyou so much!....yes inded, you're quite right (along with Greg) re the low end and it's thickness....and have remedied that with a pass of general graphic eq.....(haven't changed the site's version yet, as everything is going to be sent off to the mastererrrrrrrr$).
Again, many thanx!...I had so much fun performing and recording these too!...and that's really all I do it for.
Spit.
