My 1st mr-8 song

Listining to it... First of all the sound quality is excellent. Is this a "live" recording? Liking the chorus..I like the organ with the different guitar parts. Umm.. the percussion sounds off like it is in a different tempo. WOuld probably sound a little clearer without it.


Nice submission. I love to hear songs from other people, especially MR-8:)

its not recorded live but I did play it live earlier last week.
I was noticing that too about the timing of the congas being a little off at times. Something must be done with it !!
I set the BPM tempo of the dr-5 at 98? recorded the track. Then went back at did a click track with the guitar at 98 BPM. Might be some latency there because did not use midi sync.
used a taylor (needing new strings), shure sm-58 with art tube pac pre-amp for the vocals (needs some harmony). Only effects was a hint of reverb on the vocals.

Think you might talking about the korg n264 - has some great sounds ! Also forgot to mention that there may be another device out of timing on the MP3 - my guitar playing !!
