I love the sound of the old Phase 90. I'm looking to pick one off Ebay.

I'll get a new one and do the well known mod.

However, I was thinking the Phase 100 would be a good idea, because you have some more controll over the sound.

But then I hear that the Phase 90 and Phase 100 don't at all sound alike.

Can anyone confirm this?

Are there any mods out there for the Phase 100. Google doesn't seem to be much help on the topic.

Why do you need a mod for the Phase 100 if you haven't even heard it yet?

I fully support modifying pedals, especially switchable options for wide variations of tone. Maybe you should research if there are any BYOC or GGG boards available (since I am sure the MXR board and box will be too cramped for significant mods).

... if the modern Phase 90 and Phase 100 are simular, then the Phase 100 needs modding like the Phase 90.

My question was if they are infact: simular.

Why do you reply a post you barely read?

I must have read your post better than you wrote it then because that was not your question....you post TWO questions, both of which were prefaced with the notation that you already heard the two pedals do not sound similar.

Have you ever considered that the extra control on the 100 might negate the need for a mod? I am not an MXR Phase expert, but from the sounds I have heard of the script version VS the modern one, the intensity of the effect is 90% of the difference. I am sure a quick post on a DIY stompbox forum could get you that other 10%.

Am I a "horse's ass" defending myself over unnessecary "you-idiot" comment?

Question 2 is a follow up question to question 1. The relevance of question 2 depends on the outcome of question 1.

But maybe I was unclear, if so, I apologise.

Nobody called you an idiot. Outlaws was asking a logical question which may have made you feel stupid. He was trying to help and you lashed out at him.
