Its just that when comparing Mics it is very important that other people are made aware as to the full listening chain.
For instance I am not in the slightest bit interested in any thread that compares Y to Z when the guy is monitoring on cheapo computor speakers or similar.

), an email from Gus caused me to go back and re-read the info Marik sent me and it’s just like he said – it uses a much larger than normal cathode resister which is not a starved plate design but does limit the current flowing through the tube, thus changing the output impedance so that a 12.5:1 transformer can be used. Most likely this is done because the Chinese 12.5:1 transformer was available and affordable (have I said that already?).
