I know I have been asking questions for along time but i think I am about ready to buy I just want to know your opinions on the following.

Which would be better for making the vocals sound warm?
Which would be better for recording acoustic guitar(vocals and guitar will most the time be recorded at the same time) and banjo?...for teh guitar I play a fingerpicking style with alternating bass or monotone bass I want to make sure the bass is as present as the treble strings. which mic would be better on this?

for banjo I play clawhammer banjo which mic would provide a better sound for this?

thanks
i'll leave as soon as this question is anwsered

For me I would go for the 67 and a pair of SDC like the 603/604's from mxl.

Why would you do that, have you heard both the mics, what are the sonic characteristics when recording acoustics and vocals for both of them to your ears?

I will be recording guitar and vocals at the same time and haven't seen any preamps that will acomodate 3 mics at the same time...

I just recently compared these 2 mic's (along with some others) and I would say, for your purposes, save and get the V69. It will be more versitile, in a warm colored mic, than the V67 IMHO. The V67 is very warm, but is a bit muffled sounding in the upper mids. This would be a plus if you're recording something harsh or siblant as it would tone that down, but I personally think the V69 is a far superior mic that has a more open, airy sound with warm color that sounds full.

Hope this helps,

Lucio

The V67G is warm but does having a "ringing" sound on the high end.
Not real natural sounding at all.

I use a V69 for voice and I trully love that mic... for acoustics a use a pair of 603s and they shine...
