MXL V67G mic to mic drum (Insert any part of the drum set), good or bad idea?

So I'm planning to buy mics to record drums of my upcoming album (Feel free to throw a model, it's not really the topic here though).

The thing is, since I already have a MXL V67G that I use to record vocals, I'd like to know if I can use it in some way when recording, maybe as a overhead??, I just wouldn't like to waste that mic, maybe it be a support for some part of kit.

I used to stick one out front of the kick as an extra kick mic, used with the normal inside kick mic. I have used the V67 for lots of things, guitar cabs, bass cabs, vocals, it is just useful to have around.
