MXL V63M question

this is that really cheap condenser mic thats been continued for a while. its wired with mogami wiring. heres the problem. i bought a new mic cable for it today, and the mic cable wont work plugged into the MXL. is there a specific kind of cable?

Phantom power is required outside if having the right cable.

Do you have a mic pre or mixer with phantom power?
