Has anyone here actually used the V6 for a while ? Could you let me know how it is ? Thanks.

I am currently using an Oktava Mk-319 (inexpensive), and after getting used of the DSP effects (including EQ's) on an EMU card, I feel like as long as you get a decent mic with enough details, you can alter the voice digitally in many ways. You just have to have a PC with you :-) ...

I plan to take the PC power suppy out in the open, and remove the noise fan.

Thanks for the link. I read both of those. But I really would like to hear more from users rather than reviewers.

Also, the processor uses a fan, too, though it is quieter. If the main vent fans are removed from the case with the power supply, I don't know if the CPU fan is effecient enough on its own to adequately cool.

I open the side of my case, and lay the PC down so that the CPU fan blow the air out in the open .
But one day, I'll have to think about water cooling for the CPU and hard drives.

Didn't work well on one vocalist we tried it on, but I think it's gonna be excellent for acoustic guitars and sax.

I picked one up a couple of weeks ago but haven't gone all through the paces yet. I'd say if you have something like an SP C1, the V6 would be a good compliment for your locker. It has more midrange than a C1. I'm still running it through different pre's and using it on different sources so I don't have a full story yet ;-)

The main thing that I'm wondering about this mic would be: Is is anywhere nearly as "dark" in tonal color as the V69?
