MXL V-77 Any opinions?

I have recently been looking at the MXL V-77 tube mic, does anyone have experience with this mic?

I picked up the 2001P mic a couple of months ago. I'm happy with the performance considering its price. I know that there have been mixed feelings/reviews on the MXL 2001 and 2003 mics. I wanted to find out if the V-77 falls into the same catagory.

The MXL V-77 is made by 797 Audio in Beijing, China for the MXL divison of Marshall and is the same mic as the ADK A-51TC (http://www.adk.cc/main.html) made by 797 Audio in Beijing, China for ADK; just in a different housing. And is the same mic as the 797 Audio CR100 (http://797audio.com/html/product3.htm); just in a different housing.

I've not heard/used any of those mics specificly but have used a multipattern version and know someone who personally thinks the cardioid only version and the mutipattern mic in cardioid sound pretty much the same.

I"ll just say I definitely recommend looking into them all and see which one of the three you can get for the best price.
