ok the deal is i want to buy a condenser mic Samson has one with switchable patterns the CO-3 for 100$s MXL has one for around th same price but just cardioid . I'm not going to spend alot of money i may go up to 150$s or so but thats my limit as i will probably buy a phantom power supply ....anyone have these or opinions for mics in this price range that may be better than these ....my main goal is to use it for recording my band live and some acoustic stuff solo (band is country/rock).......thanks

Go with the SP-B3 or the MXL. The Samson will have a lot of background hiss...

thanks ....

for the info i've never seen anything from studio projects ,i'll search though and see what i can find ...thanks again

I'm not sure how much they go for in the US, but I'm sure they'll be very reasonably priced - check out the ADK A-51S.
The tweaked *Vienna* series is particularly nice. I'm in the middle of recording a country- flavoured album & it's been very flattering for vocals, acoustic, banjo, mandolin etc. - it's very warm & creamy, but with enough punch and sparkle to make its' presence known.
