I use it in my little home studio for vocals/ambience for guitar recording. Its a very good microphone, i think...but you're gonna want a decently nice preamp/mixer...it can be bright, but its got great mid/low tone, from how ive used it.

i picked up a pair to try as overheads, they sound pretty decent. i would never use them as a vocal mic, except for hardcore-style shouty gang vocals with a stereo pair. definitely worth the money if you plan on using it for instruments. it also mixes well with a dynamic on a guitar cab.

I've used em for audience mics to great effect at shows before - they capture every last detail of spread out sound. They did do well on vocals and things until I upgraded to better mics, but I had wished I'd just spent the money on a better single mic for things like acoustics and vocals.

I know that's pretty much always the case, but you'd be well served to do some more research. They might be the most-sold mic on musiciansfriend.com, but high sales don't always mean quality for the cost. They do things well, but you can do better for around the same cost, imo

yeah get like ten kids in a room, the mics stacked on top of eachother, with the patterns perpendicular to eachother, and have them form a U around them. it sounds awesome.

i finally got to use the mic for the first time..i recorded a voice over on a video and it turned out sounding great ...i dont think its that bright....it is bright...but it sounds good.. i just eq'ed the bass up a little more and for me it sounded reallly good...
