Ah and there in lyes the answer......uh..I think.
I am good with a soldering iron though, and I love blowing,,,uh fixing things up.
What do the mods actually change/enhance about the mics?

There was originally some dispute about the poster doing this since the mod was conceived by someone else, but I think they settled it.... so I'm sorry in advance to anyone who get's pissed at me for posting this link.
There's a couple of descriptions of how and why they sound better in that thread. Words I would use are open and less harsh on the high end.

Yeah, that'd be a cake walk! .......if everything fits inside the small housing(s) It looks like a few had trouble finding caps that would fit on the 603.
Is there a "Tone Stack" calculator for mics out there.....kind of like the one for tube amps?
There is SO much you can do by changing out caps and resistors in a tube amp it's no funny.......I would imagine the same would be true for a mic (yes / no)
What would be the voltage requirments for those caps(?) Some one referred to 50V, but I think they were guessing..

Yeah it was pretty easy. The PCB is a little fragile so you'll have to be mindful of what you're doing on the .22uF's. Also, the caps I got had fat leads that wouldn't go through the hole, so I had to trim the legs off of, conveniently, the 1000pf cap and use those as "posts" to solder the replacement .22uF's to. The 1000pF already has standoff posts to solder too, so that's a cinch.
I recommend doing one before the other so you can A/B the mod against the original. I never got a chance to do that and always regretted it.
EDIT: Oh yeah, the voltage rating will not matter for these as they are AC coupling, and won't see a big voltage across them. Get the lowest rating you can find for the smallest package size.

That's what I figured on the Voltage thing..
Probably 25V or below would have small enough "legs" to fit in the holes.
If some one knows which caps and "R"'s controlled what for sure you could have a hey day modding those things and coming up with some killer mics........Heck, you could even make one "Neutral"
