Overall, I've had good experiences with them in recent years. I'd say I get about half of my stuff from them because they have a good selection and I like their wishlist feature, which lets me keep track of things I want.

There was an episode several years ago where I had ordered some stuff via next day shipping because I needed it for a project, but the whole order was delayed because one of the items was not in stock and they refused to ship them separately without charging me extra for shipping. I think they have since resolved that type of issue.
 
I've spent a good deal of money with musician's friend over the years. Back when they first started the MF credit card thing. I don't care for them anymore. I'd order from AMS or Sweetwater before I order from MF again. I had a half decent experience with Music 123, but I won't do that again either. Everything I want is too dang expensive for me right now anyway. Gotta pay the mortgage instead of buying that preamp.

A little off topic, but since you asked: i got 2 free M37s with my Firepod purchase, claim to be good for overheads and hat mics. Not bad. Not great.
But worth every penny :D

I have spent about 10K at MF over the last few years, never had one problem.
 
the only time mf messed up and order for me was when i found an extra cymbal stacker im my box hehe thanks mf ;)
