Probably not a bad idea. There have been a lot of people who have had problem in the mainstream world because of their dealings with porn. Britney had a video done by some guy who had directed porn and a big deal was made about it.

How about porn stars who have tried to jump to music? I don't think any of them have been successful. The Traci Lords album did ok as far as club play, but it was short lived and more of a novelty than anything because of her past. I don't think it would have done anything had she not have been a former porn star.

She was definitely hot and had a great voice to boot. Come to think of it, with that chest, I never really did pay attention to her voice. I just cannot figure for the life of me what she was doing such an ugly guy like Lemme. At one point, I thought they would be the next Tommy and Pamela before Tommy and Pamela were Tommy and Pamela. LOL.
 
it is quite shocking that so few of you have any regard for the negative effects of porn (and our view on sexuality). not only is it eye-opening, it is disheartening.

what the hell is the big deal about writing music for porn!?!?!
there's nothing wrong with porn movies, and most of the music for them suck anyway, so there's only room for improvement.

Check out The Loraxxx (an erotic reading from dr. seuss's book The Lorax) hahaaha (i didnt actually play guitar on that one). the other 2 songs on that page are songs done by our bass and keyboard player, not part of the original cd. also, the entire cd was improvised and done (6 songs) in a few hours hence the title "day in the making"

Definitely, but under an assumed name. That would leave me free to persue other avenues. And if someone from RCA happened to be watching the porn and decided "Hey that's the sound we want!" - WHY I don't know) then he could always reach me through the porn company.

There used to be some really killer music in porn. If you've ever watched some of the classics from the 70's, man, that stuff is mad. The best example I can think of is "Behind the Green Door." If you get a chance, rent it (you can tell the wife you're doing "research")... the music is obviously a live band, jamming out the funk, and they totally adjust to the dynamics of each scene. Also, that was some pretty well-done porn.

I would love to see a rebirth in the porn industry that involved both decent storylines, decent cinematics, and excellent music. I don't think it's going to happen, but it would be cool. I'd definitely dig playing guitar with a band live to a decent porn flick. And yes, I'd use my wah-wah.
