I'm using SX2 and am having a major problem getting my Boss GT-Pro to work with it.

The set up I'm trying to get is as follows:

Guitar > GT-Pro > USB (as midi) > PC

I need this to work in tandam with the following core setup:

Mackie HUI > Midi in/out > M-Audio Delta 1010 (soundcard) > Dell Optiplex pc > Cubase SX2

Problem: the GT-Pro and the HUI are both midi controllers. I can get the pc to talk directly to the GT-Pro (editor software connects and tweaks the hardware). But there is no sound... USB is preferable over line into the Delta as I can use the editor software and more importanly record clean signals and reamp at my leisure.

In Cubase I have all midi ports ins/out assigned to the Delta 1010. Should I have the GT-Pro listed and/or selected somewhere? If so, how can I use the GT=Pro without losing control of Cubase through the HUI... hope you understand what I am trying to say...

Also, I hope this belongs in this forum and not the rack gear area.

Help is appreciated.
Thanks

Have you tried running the Hui into the GT-Pro's Midi Thru deactivating the MIDI Inputs on the All MIDI Inputs page? The midi ports should be listed in the device setup dialog on the Direct Music page and/or the windows midi page. By clicking in the "SHOW" column for a midi input or output, you can specify whether or not it should be listed on the MIDI pop-up menus in the program. On a mac use the midi systems page in the device setup dialog.
