The website says something like, "standard XLR" so I assume it's like a 57.

Cool songs! What's your signal chain? The clips sounds harsh to me, I think because of low bitrate MP3.nukeitout said:I just got my matched pair of MSH-1's a couple days ago, and they rock! I used them to record a couple things in stereo in my crappy apartment:
Both of these are dry, so you can get the true sound from them. Don't base your ultimate opinion on my recording tho, since I had the mics too far apart and my room sucks...
I'm considering ordering a second matched set just to have as a backup; I'd hate to be without my MSH-1's now that I have them!

apl said:The guitar and harp sounded good, but a SDC ain't a good choice for vox because they sound, well, harsh on vox.
tubby said:So, would a spaced pair of omni's be a good idea for recording drums in a very large live sounding room. My bands practice space is in an office in a semitruck repair building so I can get to a very large open space. I'm currently using a XY setup set close over the kit with some close mic's and I thought adding some room sound could be cool.
Please post some sample clips...aidan_m said:Got my mics!!! and got my firewire interface during the week! Nearly up and running!! Just gotta clear space now for my setup and get me hands on protools and it's action stations!!

I want to order an MSH-1O. I got a 1M which sounds similar to the 1A but I don't like it as much. I heard the 1O is an improved version of the 1A, and I think that will sound better on acoustic.
Anfontan said:Has the MSH-10 been dropped? I don't see it in the inventory anymore-I must have got mine just in time. They are great on acoustic instruments.![]()
is that really the case? the faq section there makes it sound like the msh-1o is a higher spl version of the msh-1. it's a little confusing though-- my a.d.d. makes it a little hard to sift through all the msh-1x talkapl said:It's been renamed. It's just MSH-1 and the cardioid version is MSH-1K.
