for those of ya'll who have the mr-8, have ya'll experience any problems with it? Everytime I start out recording my beats on one track, while recording, some kind of crackling sound would be recorded along with it. (you know how when you don't have tv cable and you have to use one of those antennas? and everytime you try to fix the antenna for clearer vision, there would that crackling sound) That's how it is with the MR-8. It's like I have to record the beat about 3 times to get the sound to be perfect WITHOUT that cracklin sound. Any of ya'll experience this?

Is it in only one side of your headphones? If so, try restarting the MR-8 next time it happens and see if that helps. Several of us have had similar symptoms - the recorded track is ok, it's something in the headphone amp. Otherwise, are you levels high enough - if not, you can get that nasty digital 'aliasing' noise.

I think the problem has nothing to do with the headphones. Maybe it's the flash card that was supplied along with the recorder? Cuz first time I got the recorder, I accidently put in the flash card in the wrong direction. I tried to take it out wit scissors when that didn't work, I shook the recorder and the card dropped out

whoa...I don't know if it is the card. If this is still a problem after you mix down and listen to your song on your PC you will have to barrow it down. try re formatting the card.

does the track play back with distortion? WHat are your levels on the read out? I like mine to barely peak at just over 12. What instrument are you recording?
