ok, i wanna get a sampler ,, I dont got the bucks for an mpc but i got an rm1x drum machine,, .
i was told i could purchase a rack mount and controll it with the rm1x. Now has anyone got this same layout??
does it all work out pretty well? i got a scsi rom drive on the way i got on ebay. from what i see,, the mpc has 16bit ,32 polyphony, and can hold X amount of ram. Now if i get a rackmount thats got the same or better qualitys,,, is it gonna be basically the same thing??? whats the differences? also,, i see these different versions of the samplers(s2000,s3000,s4000) but they dont seem to have any differences in polyphony or ram capabilities,, whats the difference?? just effects?? i got an effects processor already. i want to be able to use the rackmount as a drum machine. If anyone knows some of the ins and outs of all these choices,, please fill me in.
thanx in advance,,,
