MPC Users .....Drum rolls ????

I know on typical drum machines like (Boss DR 770) you have a roll button and you can hold it to do drum rolls, but I don't notice this button on the MPC, how do you do drum rolls with it ???
 
Depending on which MPC you have; for the 2000/2000XL hold the Tap Tempo/Note Repeat button. For the MPC60/MPC 3000 hold the Timing Correct button.
 
MPC 2000xl is what I plan to purchase, is it the best piece for drum rolls and triplets or is there something better ?
 
Thanks Jamal and Trak, okay got that ....now how do you do triplets?
 
The same way... just set your quantize value accordingly first.
 
Set quantize accordingly.....???? You can tell I don't have a mpc just trying to buy one, but getting some schooling on using it first ....

I mean set the quantize to something like 1/16th triplet, then use the note repeat function.
