Mpc-2000 Sampler?planet Phatt Sound Module?

WUZZUP PEOPLES.I'VE RECENTLY CAME UP ON A MPC-2000 AND A PLANET PHATT
SOUND MODULE.THE PROBLEM I HAVE IS I WANT TO MAKE A BEAT (FROM THE SOUND
MODULE) OVER SOMETHING I SAMPLED.I GO TO THE BOTTOM LEFT HAND CORNER
WHERE IT SAYS DRUM AND I PUT IT TO OFF.THATS THE ONLY WAY I CAN HEAR MY SAMPLE.
BUT.WHEN I SWITCH IT TO C1-16.I ONLY HEAR THE SOUND MODULE BEATS..HOW CAN I
GET IT WHERE I CAN MAKE MY BEAT OVER SOMETHING I SAMPLED.....MUCH LUV..(OH
YEAH,I AM A NEWBIE.LOL).

Okay.
record your sampled track and leave it to drum.
go to track 2
record the sound from the planet phat with this channel set to midi and the selected prg #.
and proceed to record just remeber that samples on the mpc stay on a drum track and anything midi stays on midi channel. and each time you want to record a new part you have to change tracks.
