Motu 8Pre Headphone question

Hi all

I did some recording last night. Laying down the drummers (you guessed it) drums via click and guide track using Logic and my Motu 8 pre.

All was good, great quality infact. Except the volume coming through headphones the drummer was wearing was maxed out. Hearing the click was difficult at first. I then changed the TONE of the click which made it much easier to hear.

My question is this. Its clear that i need a headphone amplifier of some kind.
The 8pre has only 1 headphones out socket.
Would a headphone amplifier connect ok to the Motus one headphone output and feed a couple of headphones at a louder volume?

yo man how is the motu 8 pre... i was thinking of saving up... and up... and up for it.
