Does someone knows this product detail?
I'm not sure it use the same converter as HD 192. Is it good enough?

Buy it but I don't know some detail. I plan to setup 8-16 tracks recording room and I choose 896HD is it OK? I used 828MKII last year I like it but now I need more pre-amp then I choose 896HD.

Why not just keep the 828mkII .... It offers 20 inputs.
Just get a decent mixer like a Soundcraft or even a Yamaha for the additional preamps.
You also have the option of using 8 channels of ADAT via something like a M-Audio Octane and the SPDIF I/O.

Is it use the same converter?
896HD has 8 pre-amp but 828MKII has 2.
896HD is 995$ 828MKII is 745$ a little different.
I think 896HD should has more quality than 828MKII. or not?

I'm not certain, but I would assume they are the same converters and the price difference is due to the fact of the 896HD having 6 more preamps built in.
My point was that if you already have an 828mkII, why not just add an external multi-channel preamp to it. Or even a couple of quality single or dual channel pres, rather than limit yourself to the MOTU pres alone.
Granted, the MOTU pres sound fairly good but there are much better options out there in terms of preamps.
As far as the converters in the 828mkII ... all I can say is that I'm very pleased with mine. For anything better, I would be looking at a few grand $$ for Lucent or Apogee.

How much is it [ a good pre-amp ]?
I looking for a pre-amp too?

That's like asking how much is a car?
You've got the Ford Pinto and say a Lamborghini Countach .....
Behringer gear from Guitar Center or anything from Mercenary among other pro-gear sources.

Does anybody use this product I want to know the quality of converter.

It's look pretty good. How much?
But I still interested in 896HD because of it's pre-amp and I/O.
