I am stuck and I am not sure which would be the best fit.
MOTU 896HD VS RME FIREFACE 800.
We are going to be recording a 5 piece band. Tracking Roland TD10 V Session drums. We will never be recording more than 8 tracks at one time. Recording with Cubase Sx3, I am getting custom built PC for audio. One vender is pushing the RME another is pushing the Motu.
Is one better than the other? or is subjective?
Are the preamps in one better than the other?
I have read the specs on both and being a musician not an engineer
it is meaningless to me. Please give me some guidance.
