motu 8 pre and a headphone amp

hi guys im looking at buying a motu 8 pre( unless you can point me in the way of something better for the same sort of money ) but it only has the one headphone out, is it possible to connect this to say a 4 channel headphone amp and how would i do so?

Certainly. The 8pre has a two channel output on the back. Feed that into the headphone amp with two patches (If the amp has a left and right input) or with a y cable (If the amp has a "stereo" input). Conversely you could do the same using the headphone out on the front with a TRS or a y cable (again depending on the headphone amp's input). You will not go wrong with the MOTU, especially if you get it used.
