So I want one, actualy make that two. Anyone have or try one?
How are the converters? How compatable is the 24io with the big namebrand motherboards and chip sets? Anything I should know befor buying one?

I can't really give you a comparison to other devices. All I can tell you is my experience. First, having 24 analogue ins and outs is really great. The sound has been fine and I have had almost no problems with it at all.

There is really nothing else like it on the market. Also, you can use the 96khz setting and it sounds great. I am using it with a Mac G5 dual 2.0 and I can pile on the tracks, plug ins, audio, midi, what have you and it just keeps on going. Mixing options abound.

What else can be said. What else would you buy that can do what it does.

It is a fine Piece of gear. Not very popular around here but still very good and reasonable priced.

Definately take a look at the MOTU Hardware Forum at Unicornation.com. If there are any significant hardware issues, they will show up there. Unicornation is the MOTU users group site and is unaffiliated with MOTU the company. So, you normally get a pretty balanced handling of hardware problems. Check it out.
