After 3 years of this set up it finally occured to me that running the motu through a stereo return on my world class behringer mixer 
only to rout it to the likewise world class monitors is putting unecessary and possibly degrading wiring between Cubase and the speakers.
I was wondering if anyone knew where to find instructions to make the volume knob on the front of the 24i (note not i/o, im not certain but it may be different) a universal output volume knob. I know its just moving a jumper on the inside but for some reason my Google kungfu can't produce results for me and being the mastermind I am when I first got the thing I decided I already knew how it worked and didn't put the manual someplace reasonable.
I want to cut down on signal path during mixdown and squeeze as much blood from this stone as I can. Thanks in advance.
