Hi Its time for me to put together a new PC computer. I use ProTools M-Powered (it's the home version BTW). I have been using an ABIT BE6-II which has been working well for 6 1/2 yrs now! If anyone has a recommendation for the best possible motherboard for PC Home music production, please let me know. Not concerned with gaming or graphics at all really. Just audio.
p.s. I would like to stick with ABIT because I know their Bios stuff a little. I plan to build with a Pentium 4 (or dual core if not too expensive) ! No onboard audio or video needed. THANKS!
:)

Funny you should ask. I have been looking at getting one of their boards for awhile to update my PC, which is LONG over due.
I was first looking at getting the ABIT AW8D-MAX, but now at the ABIT AW9D-MAX since the other one is discontinued.

I'd open my horizons a bit (<--get the pun? ha) if I were you. Speaking as somebody who has owned nothing but ABIT boards for the last 4 computers I've built over the last 7 years, I've been reading lately about ABIT losing their unmatched stability/speed crown. Now, I could be a little out of date on this one, but I figured I'd mention it to ya!

That said, check out www.newegg.com & read the reviews people write. They're usually a pretty decent starting point for me anyway!
