Then you should re-assess your communication style.

I had an issue with a retailer a year ago. I contacted them and got no response. A week later I created a thread, not unlike this one, asking for opinions on how to deal with the problem. I got an immediate response from the retailer.

You jumped the gun. Problems should always be handled between the principles directly before they're dispayed publicly.

wow harvey. i certainly don't expect a refund. it has been over a year that i have had these. well out of the warranty described above. the biggest problem i have had with these phones is that they distort really easily....
They shouldn't distort easily. I don't really care that you've had them over a year. Send them back. By now, most people here know that these are designed to solve certain problems, but if they don't work for you, that's fine with me. Just send them back and I'll refund your money.

If they don't work for you, what's the point in hanging on to them?

Says who? I'm not writing about the warranty or the way I'm being treated by the man standing behind the MoreMe headphones (Thanks again Harvey!). I'm writing about my being unhappy with my particular headphones, however isolated my case may be. I don't see an issue with that.

This thread really pisses me off.

And I rarely get pissed off.

I don't have a problem with people not liking the MoreMe phones. Like anything else, it's not for everybody, but I get kinda touchy when they break (and some do break), but nobody gives me a chance to correct the problem.

If somebody flat out doesn't like them, I'll buy them back. I've refunded people's money about 4 times over the last four years because they didn't like the MoreMe's.

In the 4 years I've been selling these, there's never been a pair for sale on eBay; I'm kinda proud of that.

Guys like George Massenburg, Terry Manning, Mike Clark, Bob Ohlsson, and Dave Martin like them in the pro world, and a lot of people here like them.

But if anybody here is unhappy with the MoreMe stuff, at least give me a chance to fix the problem, or refund your money, before you trash them on a forum. That's all I'm asking for - a chance to fix the problem before it becomes a big deal.

The MoreMe stuff is just a sideline to help people - I don't make a whole bunch of money from it. I do get a kick when people like them and they solve somebody's headphone problem.

Note to self: Never - ever - have any business dealings with scarboro78.

Aww, that's a little harsh. I don't think the guy meant to trash the headphones or anything, seems like he was just unaware of the warrenty, and maybe ended up with a bad pair.

And he probably just forgot or didn't know how sweet of a guy Harvey is.
At least anyone searching on the forum about MoreMe's will now have even more details about them, and how great Harvey's service is! :p :p :p

Note to myself: Not to be rude, but I don't really care if you get pissed.

Note #2 to myself: With the kind of sevice provided by Mr. Gerst I will very gladly continue to advise people to buy MoreMe headphones.

Thanks.

As I have said before in MoreMe threads, my wife always reaches for the moreme's we have before our AKG's, abit cheap AKGs but still she prefers the moreme's every time. Sometimes when I am setting up, and I can't find one of our moreme's she will wait till I find a set, or just plain throw a fit, of "where are my moremes!!!". I never really thought she would have a preference but she does, maybe a drummer or something other then vocals would like something better then the moremes. I don't know haven't had that problem yet.

That's what it boils down to.

If I have a problem with my neighbor, co-worker, retailer, etc, I go and talk to them. I don't first post a public notice about it.

Hundreds, maybe eventually thousands of people will see the title of this thread and its red thumbs down icon. A smaller number will actually read the content of the thread to see how it worked out. Things like this hurt people who are providing good products. Ironic when you think of this particular product's functionality, freedom from marketing hype, ridiculously low price, and warranty better than anything else I can remember buying.

He will, of course, most likely stubbornly refuse to grasp this simple concept, and for that I apologize on his behalf, Harvey...

I don't have much to compare them to, but so far I really love my MoreMes! :D

I contemplated posting at all because I didn't want to bump the thread, but at the same time decided I wanted to show my appreciation for a good product at a great price ~

thanx harvey, your the man!! i really dont think you should be suprised by us not sending them back. your warranty is not normal at all. i just assumed i didnt have a chance. especially since the product is so inexpensive. on something in this price range, it usually isnt worth the hassle with a "normal" company.... you just count your losses...

My "warranty" is exactly what I've always said it is; it's how I would want to be treated by a company.

I've never been accused of being "normal".

I forgot about these. I'm getting tired of people trashing my $100 phones. I'm ordering a pair today. Right now as a matter of fact.

And remember people, when you order moreme's you can tell your clients "Your phones you are wearing were fondled by a one Mr. H. Gerst, famous for working for JBL, working and playing with many artists like the Byrds, meeting and giving guitars to a certain lefty who played woodstock, so those aren't ordinary phones they are moremes" :D :D :D :D :D .

* any factual info contained here within this post is based on my recollections of stories told by H. Gerst and may not be true do to my memory never being the same since I hit myself on my head with a huge hammer back in college

Nope, they're all true stories.
