Hi People,

I've been away for ages traveling through France and Germany for work plus travel and holidays at home (Oz) too. I done enough travel now to last me a long time and it's good to be home again. Looking forward to being a regular contributor again.

Before I left I had got some advice on a song. I made some changes on advice from the forum but never got to post it before I left. Now it's finally here again. Some people said they'd like to collaborate previously.... if your still in the mood...

I really Loved your song, your vocals and guitar were killer.

dude... I can't believe you still have those tracks for Everyday up... take those things down..!! burn 'em..!! away with them..!!! why must you keep dragging up my ugly past???

;) :p

So I listened to your new mix, and I think it's the best version yet... the vocals stick out a tiny bit too much.. but other than that, the mix is good. The acoustic sounds good too. I'd say that with couple little vocal tweaks, this would be a done deal.

Excellent tune David.Top notch song and recording. The vocals are some of the best I've heard around here. They sit perfectly in the mix and have excellent presence.

The drums and guitars sound great too.

MK III?Dont tell me you recorded this on a Tascam MK III 4-track cassette.

Prizmaxic :
Thanks for your encouragement. I was happy with the guitar as well.

WATYF :
Thanks... what vocal tweaks are you refering too ?
As for the everyday files consider them burned !

Kramer:
Vocals were done with an NTK through a Voicemaster with the tiniest amount of de-ess... I was happy with the smoothness.. glad you liked it too. My first song with the NTK after using a NT1.

No Tascam in sight. I'm a scientist OK, everything gets a number :)

Now someone suggested it needed tamborine last time I posted. Well as you can hear I bought one and added it. Thanks, it really added a lot.

Sweet mix, man! I LOVE that dynamic of an octave-jump on the guit during the chorus/like part. Very groovy. Yeah, I do hear a macle similarity--at least production wise... your voice is your own, tho...

Very nice, earthy production... those drums sound wonderful. The vocal mic/pre set up did wonders... and NTK, eh? Australian mic eh? Voicemaster eh? :p SMOOOTH.... any compression on them vox?

:o MkIII?!? And here I thought he was talking 'bout "Mortal Kombat III" :p Heh... this would go over well as a soundtrack for that video game, yes? ;)

Very nice... stars for you... Give us more more more! :D

I agree on the vox being a little too loud, but not much. If it's possible the snare needs a little more treble on my end. Good harmonies on the bridge. Most important... Good lyrics.

Thanks mate... actually that octave jump thing is all bass guitar, I don't own an electric ! Glad you noticed though.. it was fun to do.

Glad you like it. Yes more songs in the pipeline just have to find the time (incredibly hard). I can't believe how many christians are on this board... it's great isn't it ?

I hope to start on my next tune soon. I'm really keen to collaborate so let me know if your interested.

Basically just that the vox were a tad bit too loud... They sat well in the mix, but they coulda been a tiny bit quieter so you can turn it up more and listen to the instruments too. I found that if I turned it up loud, then the vox got a little overbearing. It's a minor tweak though.. nothing major.

P.S. I'm open to collabs... as long as all you need is a hack guitarist... :p
