Personally, I feel like music was more memorable a few years ago. Maybe I'm just nostalgic, but does anyone else feel the same way?

If you make music for yourself, covers, original, original that borrows from someone, to me it doesn't matter. Just make the songs, put it on a list and listen to it regularly. It will be memorable. I am listening to music I created over 15 years ago. Funny, I hear the mistakes, the cringes of being new, bad mixing (I have gone back and remixed a few), but it is a document of my journey life/music.

If a picture says a thousand words, a song says a thousand pictures. I really believe that. So make yourself a memory. At some point, you will be deep in career, kids, spouse, mid-life crisis, facing aging. You can document your life, in songs, your songs or ones that mean something to you (a cover). Being able to do that is a gift that shouldn't be taken for granted.

You mean popular music?

Like many of the fossils around here - I'm still stuck on the music of the 60's, 70's, and 80's. That era was rich in the "memorable" sense. **And of course I have to add the disclaimer that I acknowledge that that's not all there is. And that music that was created before and since can be seen as memorable as well.

That pretty much defines me. I love the music of the 60's and 70's. I have current favorites as well, but for me that music will live on in my heart.
