More human feeling

I use fruityloops to make hip hop beats and I always run into the problem of the beats sounding too computerized. I don't mean the actual sounds, but the timing. It is mainly with the kick drum and the snare. I try to offset one or the other, or both, but I still don't get that laid back feeling. Is there a way to change how fruityloops count's in time or something. I wanna acheive the sound that most hip hop songs have, where everything sounds just a little bit off, but it something you can bump your head to.

i use the "shuffle" slider..try that.

what kind of hip hop music do u listen too?!?! most hip hop producers use an MPC 2000 XL to sequence and if u ever used one the MPC automatically quantizes ur notes so i don't think its the hits being off, i think u gotta get more creative with your patterns

The 'Shift' feature is made for this. It's located in the graph edit section with pan, volume, resonance, cutoff, etc...
