My son didn't write the song (Cosmo's Cascade), but did write the harmonies in the second half. Never mind the metronome in the beginning - you won't be able to hear it pretty soon...

Yo... I'm beginning to appreciate recording unusual instruments a bit more. I recently had a rock-group come in to the studio who had a very good violinist in the group. It was kind of un-nerving recording him, as I had done no research on how to best capture the sound, but they were delighted at the result, so I guess I must have done something right.

As far as your recording goes, I can hear a lot of the room in the mix, but it doesn't sound bad. I guess the "room" sound would matter more if this were mixed with other instruments.

All in all - sounds good, man, and the harmonies fit perfectly. Kudos.
