i wonder if thats just basic foam or if theres a little something more in there to kill some low end transmission too...

That actually looks like a really nice product. Could be very useful around the recording environment, indeed... Very cool! :) As far as "Home Recording" is concerned, this is definitely something we should be considering... More than the big expensive gear purchases, for sure... Sweet!

Just a seat of the pants guess, but I'd expect that long wave lengths will wrap around a barrier. But still, a mini 'dead zone makes sense. :)

Cool! There stuff is cheap (I wouldn't buy a preamp from them), but I doubt they could screw this up too badly. It looks like a good design anyway. I think I'll get one if it's priced right.

Yes, I think it wouldn't solve an acoustically horrible space, but I think it could make the difference in an acoustically marginal space.

mic thing price

The MSRP of the unit is $199

Don't confuse Reflection, Isolation and Absorption, obviously they all relate to each other but very different as well.

The Variable Panels gives you control of the amount of reflection and absorption you want to achieve, you can also move your microphone further away if you like.

The unit is made from the same acoustic panels as WAVEPANELS are made from but when you add the 1mm thick steel as well as another 1mm rubber you are going to get some results. Will do some further tests when they arrive to us for sales.
