Just an idea but how about 2 decent size mouse pads. Spray some 3M adhesive on the fabric sides and stick them together. It should decouple the speakers from the stand and the rubber on both sides would be a non-sliding surface for the stand and speakers. That's what I'm considering doing anyhow but I'm always looking at cheaper ways to do stuff :D :D :D

Pipeline Audio gave me some of those thick rubber strips they use in bars next to all the olives and twist shit. I cut them up into 2"x4" strips and stacked them up under the corners of the monitors. Works pretty good.

I used two of those egg crate type foam pads that come in new Western Digital harddrive boxes. They work perfect.

Malcolm,

Standard material for speaker isolation is 705 rigid fiberglass cut to the same size as the bottom of the loudspeaker. The mousepad suggestion is also good. Or if you're really cheap just use a thin flat cardbard box like they ship CDs and small books in.

You guys are right as usual. I recieved my Mopads yesterday and I cannot see anything special about them. I havent placed my 824s on them yet but I will this evening.

Basically they seem like a thick piece of foam ( the type they use with certain mousepads, but not as soft ). They are rectangular cut except for the front piece which sticks up in front of the monitors. Then they cut a angle though the middle so you can remove that piece or flip it around to angle the monitor downward at 2 different degrees.

Again, the foam doesn't seem like nothing special so a stack of mouse pads or whatever should save you some money and do the same thing like the others stated.

Anyway, thanks guys !!! i do like the little logo on the front of them though. LOL

I use several pieces of thick weatherstripping. It seems to work just fine.
