Good one Greg_L - just in time for Halloween......nice take on a classic. I kinda like your version better now!

:) :D :) :D

Great!!!!!

Such a fun song--I've always loved it.

This recording sounds very good, all around. Great energy. The delay on the vox are nice--but I could almost hear it with a thick amount of 50's style slapback delay. Also, I'd like to hear more bass guit. Or maybe just make it more present/give it more attack.

Wonderful job. I love Halloween.

dude .....you rock!!!!!!!

bet you i know were you got the bubble fx ............................... :D :D :D :D :D

Awesome. Thanks again everyone. :)

Incanus - Thanks for the critique. I'll look into tweaking the bass some. I hear it fine on my setup, but thats why I posted it in here - for feedback. I want it to sound good on everyones setup, not just mine, so thanks again for the input.

Variaxman - Thanks a lot. :)

Turtlishous - Thanks. I stole the bubbling effects from this sound-effects library off napster. :p

Awesome...sounds really good. Big fan of all the old fun hits from the 50's.

It has a rather a punkish drive to it...nice one!! It brings back memories of being a little girl and listening to my brother's records(vinyl) ........while he was gone.. :D :D

When are you doing Purple People Eater? :D

Lol. Thanks a lot. I don't think I'll be doing that one anytime soon. :p

Or you could have a crack at these:

Wooley Booley
The Ball Bearing Bird
Alley Oop
Long Tall Texan

Haha. Sorry, but no. I don't touch the stuff.

It does sound like a bong though now that you mention it. :p

Greg,
I assume this is more influenced by the Misfits version than the 50's & 70's rerelease versions by Bobby "Boris" Pickett & the Crypt Kickers 5.
It's cool nevertheless. I actually have the vinyl of the 70's rerelease of the LP - it's a hoot especially Me & My Mummy.
Your version is very authentic - sound effects, vocal impression & a great drivin' beat added.
Excelent recording mate.

Thanks a lot. It is indeed influenced by the newer Misfits version. I've always loved this song though. I played in a rockabilly band back in the early 90's, and we always did this song live around halloween time. It always went over well with the crowd.

Thanks again! :)
