Is it possible to configure a mono track to play out of both speakers at the same time?.I have some old mono voice tracks, but it is annoying to hear sound out of only one speaker.I'm sure this is an odd question, but any info would be much appreciated. Thanks.....:)

Yes. You just send the same signal to both speakers. It won't be "stereo," but you will hear something from both speakers.

How to do it depends on what equipment (player, amplifier?) you're using.

Okay thanks.........:)

I hava some old reel to reel tapes that were recorded on only one channel of a stereo recorder. I connected the headphone line of the recorder to the input line of my sound card and recorded a wave file. When I played it back it only generated sound on one speaker. Will I need some additional equipment to get sound from both speakers?

For those that might run across this post.I was able to use the headphone jack, and output line, and connect them to a dual cable that went to a stereo mini plug on my sound card.It worked fine.I was fortunate that the headphone plug didnt create any distortion in the sound.

You should be able to accomplish this in software without changing your signal monitoring wiring. Just copy the mono .wav file to the left and right side of a stereo .wav file in a .wav editor.

Thanks for the info.that option never occured to me.I am using the Cmedia software that came with my Motherboard. Its not real user friendly.I may need to try some other software.
