what's the difference between mono and stereo reverb? i don't get it cause i always see people sayin that they use mono reverbs or stereo reverbs. whats the point of mono reverbs if your tryin to make things sound wider?

Very simply, mono tends to be more focused, compact and steerable. Sometimes you may want a panned instrument have it's space live only directly behind (or around) it -or the effect panned to another location.
Mono verb on a centered voice or stereo kit does a nice unique thing that stereo can't.

Run with it. :)

Who says the only reason you use reverb is to make something sound wider? There are many reasons to use a reverb. Width is just one of them.

You use reverb to push things back and soften them up. Use delay to make things wider.

is waves rverb and true verb stereo verbs? also if u pan stereo verbs doesnt it take up much more space in the mix?

You can make any of them mono. Hmm. Why 'more space? What's the thinking here? What if you push it to the side?
