Is there a way, while mixing in cubase, to switch between stereo and mono playback on the fly?

Mixing and Mastering.
I Mix using Cubase but have not found a way of switching between stereo and mono.
Saying that you can download a free plug-in called mgMono from KVR Audio.

Stick that on your main output and then you can use mgMono plug-in to change from stereo to mono with 1 click.

I started out using Cubase LE because it came with my Firepod and it had a button on the main output to switch from stereo to mono. I upgraded to Cubase Essential 4 and it doesn't have it. What the heck??

It does seem a bit weird why SX doesn't have a stereo/mono button.
Maybe the programmers felt that no one Mixed in mono and stereo!
