Monitors?

What kind of monitors should I get for my home setup? I'm only looking to do demos for people right now and it would only be vocalist for now. But I will be doing live band recording in the next 2 years any suggestions.

I really like the KRK V4's.
Small, portable, and self-powered.
Great bass for their size IMHO.
Easy to listen to.
