hmm

well, it sounds like the Yorkville ysmi actives are the best for me. Would anyone recomend anything in the same price range thats better?

im gonna go check out a load of monitors probabbly next week. ill post the link for that lab test tomorrow.

As someone who owns a pair of Dynaudio BM6A, I have to agree with you they do sound like stereo speakers, incredible stereo speakers. The problem a lot of people seem to have with these speakers is that on first listen they sound kind of ordinary, nothing special. Even with that said I was hearing detail and nuances I had never heard before. After my ears became somewhat acclimated I was awestruck I was discovering things on my favorite cds I had never heard before. And mixing became a lot easier. These speakers demand a good mix. You hear what needs to be done. I also own a pair of Event 20/20 bas and although I had been pleased with how mixes translated, there was some guesswork and trial and error involved. The Events aren't anywhere near the league of the Dynaudios.

that was interesting to read. i was also under the impression that these dynaudio's were fantastic, but i haven't checked em out yet. heard tons of rave reviews about them.

hmm, yes. but what about them Yorkville ysmi p's! i hear they're the best monitor in the world! (well i can afford them, so im assuming they're the best!) haha, but they're ok right? for the price?
