thinking about mackies 824 or using m-audio 8s or 5s with subwoofer. do some recordind in an small bedroom been using m-audio sp5s, cant seem to get the same sound on my home stereo after mixing, thanks for any help
 
I get wonderful translation with BX8's and a sub. Not a fan of the BX5's... Just don't care for the Mackies. I'm probably in a pretty lonely spot here though...

No, you're not alone, John - while they're decent enough monitors, I don't care for them either!
 
When I was at a friends home studio, two weeks ago....

I was listening to his mixes on the M-Audio 8's. In my eyes, they translated wonderfully (plus, you can save some money). :cool:
