I have just noticed an oddity in my home.
I just bought a pair of KRK powered monitors for my keyboard.
They hummmmmmmm.
My Old Alesis M1's have a had a minor hummmmmmm problem for years but I've worked around it (or with it). :(
What makes it all interesting is that my Altec Lansing speaker system with sub-woofer connected to my flat screen TV also hummmmmmms.
Could I have an over all grounding problem with my house?

You could. The first thing I'd try is moving your audio and power cables around.

yeah or something you've plugged in recently has added to the noise?

maybe this,
1) unplug everything in your house, your meter should stop.

2) then plug in your Audio stuff
IF no hmmm......proceed to plugging in the other crap one at a time, each time listening for added HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

you'll probably hear one or two items that add it HMMMMMMM
good luck....

the refrigerator is a big one, you may have to unplug it and go to all dried foods and powdered milk for pure audio. Sell the fridge, buy some more recording gear AND!! SAVE on your terrorist bill...I mean er... Energy bill!! ;)

LOL! :D :D :D :D :D

And on a lighter note... I had the same problem recently and traced it to an ac strip/surge protector. I replaced that, problem solved. Like with anything, isolating the problem step by step usually solves the puzzle.

Good luck,
J.

Nothing I'd rather be doing......... ;)
