module/controler/mpc/ ?

if i have a couple modules (mo phatt w/ additonal card) and i use a controler keyboard, do my drums and sequence with an mpc , do i need to have a computer for anything? im getting ready to make some purchases and i want to know whether to get the board or the module. i dont think my computer is up to par for the good recording software(p2 233) and it will take me a little while to get a new system. i would rather go the module route because i think its better in the long run but would like to get started asap.

You don't need a computer but it looks like you need a mixer and a recorder.
