Suck 'em and see!
can I use the MMC on my mixer (Allen & Heath GS1) to go through my soundcard (Delta 1010) and control the functions on the transport bar in cubase? Or is that function in cubase only for controling ourside recorders?

I bought a set of midi leads and hooked them up. When I press any of the transport keys on my mixer I see the midi in light come on on the cubse transport bar but it does squat! been through all the menus and had my head back in the manual but can't find any hints.

Any suggestions are welcome

Alec

I know from setting up my Ghost that it has a bunch of different MMC settings and you have to find a set of parameters that the receiving device will accept.

Chances are in your A&H manual there are a list of MMC modes and you have to find the right one to work with your software. Some software packages also come with different presets for using with different hardware controllers.

If you can't find a direct call for the software or hardware you can usually find a good compromise by setting up the A&H to emulate the same command set for hardware that Cubase has some defaults already defined.
