I know from setting up my Ghost that it has a bunch of different MMC settings and you have to find a set of parameters that the receiving device will accept.
Chances are in your A&H manual there are a list of MMC modes and you have to find the right one to work with your software. Some software packages also come with different presets for using with different hardware controllers.
If you can't find a direct call for the software or hardware you can usually find a good compromise by setting up the A&H to emulate the same command set for hardware that Cubase has some defaults already defined.
