MkII??

i was wondering what MkII means? i've seen it on different brands and products like MOTU's audio interface, and i once had a Roland drum machine that was MkII...i must have missed something somewhere.

Mk is short for "mark" so MkII is "Mark Two," indicating a redesign of the original product. I think the Brits use it a lot, and by default, the Japanese, since they learn British English.
