I just have to ask. . . are the whirlwind mic cables any good,. . or should I say at least decent. . . ? I realize they are not top notch-- But, will they at least get you buy?

Like the mk4 cables, or even the mini 6, or 12 whirlwind snakes?

The mics that would be using, are MXL-603's. Studio Projects B-1, or MXLV-67G. . . anyone have experience with the Whirlwind cables?

I have at least four 100ft Whirlwind snakes at the warehouse... and they have been through hell and back... and still work great.

The only whirlwind cables I have, I've gotten with mic purchases. I use em when I need em, and they take a bit of a beating but work fine. So if all you need em for is to get by, then yeah! get em! They are good to have around.
I wouldn't record with em. but that's just me.

mostly monster cables, but I got 3 20' mogami mic cables too.:D if that means anything!

Mogami, Canare, Belden, Gepco, is good cable... Whirliwind snakes are used often... 1000ft 56-channel snakes aren't cheap... and someone will drive a truck over it anyway.

Do a search... we were talking about making mic cables not too long ago... it was a good thread.
