It was a challenge to produce a techno song using a guitar as the primary instrument without it sounding too industrial (NIN, ministry, marilyn manson, etc). I'm not entirely sure all of this works, but it was what happened when noodling yesterday. At times sounds like Rammstein (yuck), at others King Crimson...
I'll admit that I'm not the biggest fan of techno (occassionally I'll listen to some trance, blip hop, or DJ Tiesto). It's the energy in the music that draws me to it, so I tried to capture that energy and added some melody and musicianship. Very few techno artists I've heard have a good grasp of making music that sounds pleasing and keeps a picky listener like me interested. I'd definitely be looking for some artist suggestions. My chemical brothers and moby discs are worn out...
